  1. I had never heard the word GAMBOL before and I love how close it is to gamble as in go for it, take that first step into the rest of your life which i think was an encouragement from Lawrence Fehrlinghetti. I always liked that idea especially after a few days bunkered down, boarded up windows metaphor to survive a psychological storm.

There’s so much positivity packed into so few lines here and such a stark warning to not go too far, to not do what a friend of mine once warned – to not fall off the horse, to keep going, one way or another.

    1. Thanks Steve. I like the word gambol. Not sure how I ran across it. But I do like that it is so similar to gamble. Maybe they are related? I think the first part is all about positivity. Opening yourself up, like in spring. And it’s best not to have too many assumptions.

      1. I’ve been obsessed by onion rings today and no coincidence, obsessed by this girl I sort of met. I nodded towards her at the library. She nodded back, but other than that, she probably has no idea I exist, not yet anyway. Met her waiting for the library to open. I had this song in mind when I met her, nothing symbolic, I just happened to have this song in my jukebox brain, but it worked, my obsession with her. It was like being part of a video. She seemed to have a backpack without zippers. Kind of old school or maybe I was imagining it? Either way, I can replay that song dozens of times and think about her. Should keep me content or crazy for the night.
