Humming the Score
For sidewalk tramps baptized in the changing of the leaves,
Hurled to other dimensions by the rustle of the seasons.
What Poetry Could Be
Words adjacent to meaning squished together by music,
And the lemonade of time travel.
Scenic
A heap of mountains
And the collateral moon.
Upon Waking
The dream was drawn
By an esoteric cause and effect
And edited by a bumblebee
In July.
Of the birds that live on the sun
Masquerading as spring.
Pass me a glass of that lemonade, sir…

Man, this hit me from the git-go, that “baptized in the changing of the leaves,” inspiring an old memory or a friend rolling around in the leaves outside our house, tripping on acid, waiting for my friend and I to be released from my mom’s clutches so we could join him and drop a hit.
Back to your poems…”the lemonade of time travel.” Anything related to time travel has me wanting to watch and maybe understand more DONNIE DARKO. And “birds Masquerading as spring,” those dark crows in winter. Have a great Sunday. I have to help my girlfriend’s kid move. Boxsprings and boxes and I’m not that strong. Ughhhhh!

That’s a great story about tripping. Sounds fun. Donnie Darko is such a cool movie. I’ve watched it several times to sort it out. Still don’t have it all figured out. I hope you had fun with the move.

i guess i was goofing off too much so they had me take care of the dog while they did the moving which was better anyway. Saved my back, but we have to do another move tomorrow. girl friend’s mom which should be good too because it’s five hours away. road trip.

I loved how music squished together words… I’m imagining a heavy drum beat. And I loved the bumblebee editing. Ah, the sharp grammarian!
