You drew a triangle on your napkin. How thoughtful. The rain will help. I can answer your questions. Though I am not sure of the answers myself. This triangle, for example, has three sides: but where are the doors? The clouds should be pretty and a mess and if you include them on your napkin, barometrically accurate. Here, look, I drew a picture of a bird on a branch. You said, the clouds are all messed up looking without being messed up at all. That’s perfect. That’s it! Let’s exchange middle names and bury our pocket change under the old telephone booth.
Love it!

Thanks John. It was fun to write in this style. So I’m hoping to give it some more tries.

I love it, especially this part: “I can answer your questions. Though I am not sure of the answers myself.” This rings true for most of us.

There’s the intimacy at the end, that exchanging middle names and then burying money under a telephone booth. It’s both hilarious and beautiful….so is meeting someone at a diner. This is such a new way of writing for you and you do it really well.

Thanks Steve. I’m glad you think so. That’s encouraging, and I think I’ll give this style another attempt. It was fun to write.
