I will be taking a break from posting. I’ll probably start back up after the new year. Just need some time to recharge. Thanks everyone who checks out this blog and reads my poems. It’s much appreciated. And I look forward to catching up on everyone’s wonderful blogs when I get back.
Below is a bit of a goofy picture of me and my youngest. Somewhere in the Catskill Mountains.

Enjoy your time off. I know the feeling. Rest up and come back refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Thanks Bob for sharing the pic of you and your son and for letting us know that you’ll be on vacation in Montana, “dental floss tycoon” says Zappa. I vote that you just take a 10 day break and then let us know what happened when you were free from writing. It is kind of an addiction and I know for me I suffer from withdrawal symptoms, mostly feeling useless and empty like I have no purpose for being alive when I can’t write, but then the webs untangle a bit and I make my way out with a post (booze and cannabis helps) and then momentum helps me too, but who the hell knows when it comes and goes. Drives me nuts. Anyway, I babble on. I wish you nothing but the best Bob and please know that your poems remind me of the power of language and have altered my antennae; I now make the effort to read poetry and enjoy the way poets like you rearrange word combinations into instant WOW feelings.

Thank you, Steve. That’s wonderful of you to say. I look forward to catching up on your posts. And I’ll still be writing, but not going to worry about posting. For now. And anyways, how about them Bluejays! I still have something to send you. Just got to get off my butt on a Saturday and get to the post office.

Great, that you’ll still be writing. I guess the one drawback of not posting is missing feedback. Take care man.

i would think a way to share your poetry is at buffalo open mics. that could be cool to meet fellow poets and so they could hear your beauty. just a thought. i know that takes so much courage but like the dude i met on the bus to sherbrooke a few weeks ago said, “you got it all in you.”

Thanks Steve. I really appreciate the comment. That is very nice of you. I should look into open mics. It would be nerve wracking, but probably worth it. I sent you an email.

If it were me, I’d eat some edibles, let them kick in, sip a nice beer and head on stage, ideally a small dive bar venue and say a few poems and then get really drunk.

Haha. Actually that would probably help.
