I echo what johnmalone says about the that line “‘even where beauty lacks order, it fumbles gold.”…..remarkable and I like how you replied “excited when it stumbled into my head.” The entire poem hits me with soaring and space and travel, “adrift in the cloud work” and “migrating towards the moon.” It feels like gravity has been conquered. And also the first line “The forest took shape around your heart” is a wonderful image, all the unchartered places in a forest. So many positives in this poem.

    1. Thanks, Steve! I tried to frame a feeling here, so I’m glad you liked it. I’ve been on vacation for the last week and a half, did some camping and reading in the yard and some long walks. So I guess Ive been feeling like I could conquer gravity. Haha, at least metaphorically. But it’s back to the grind tomorrow.
