  1. Wow! this is hardcore surrealism but fascinating ; I could try to decode it but that would only spoil its fun; hey, I’m in for another read, not for clarity but for delight, wallowing in that puddle of paradoxes 🙂

    1. Haha. Thanks for the wonderful comment. Yea, I agree, it’s not so much about meaning, but just fun with words. Thanks again. Really glad you like it. Now you have me thinking of puddles of paradoxes.

  2. The color of the stolen coat is my favourite line. For some reason it captures and brings the entire mystery down to earth – for a moment. And the puddle… I’m still smiling.

  3. Another keen collection of images — summed up nicely by the last stanza, which I feel can describe your other poems, too. Also, that puddle line is going to stick with me for a while. With lots of rain here, I will surely see many puddles, and I’ll smile at them 🙂

  4. I’ve tried drawing cubes before but they always turn into bed versions of a tree which makes the last line about paradoxes very much a relief. I very much enjoy the question marks that run through so many of your poems, like glimpses into life’s complexities – “not even totality Covers all the bases,” and there ain’t much better than a baseball reference in a poem

    1. Haha. Yes, a little weird, a little intellectual. But I’m glad you liked it. That’s wonderful your daughter is your agent. A little weird, a little accessible sounds like a good combo to me.
