Cosmic nose hair
And baffled tattoos
A tee shirt showing
Its afternoons
Loose of collar
But fixed of spirit
In this you take
Heed regardless
Of the gray hair.

Hmmmm, very compelling poem. I like the way it begins and ends with hair, that cosmic nose hair, yes nose hair because I think nose hair like ear lobes never stop growing so even when we’re old and grey, we can be “loose of collar, fixed of spirit” and that inspires…..reminds me that yes, I’m getting older, but there are many more paths to walk……Grandma Moses didn’t start painting until she was like 70 or something.

Yes, lots of hair after 50. I can’t imagine what would happen if I didn’t keep up on it. Maybe when I’m older, I’ll just let it go. That’s really inspiring with Grandma Moses not starting painting till she was 70. There’s still hope!!

Sounds like its 50-something living. Don’t forget the ears.

Haha. It’s definitely 50-something living. After 50 it’s all nose and ear hair. I can’t keep up!

That darned stuff is god’s joke.
It’s like he said: You know what would be funny? Let the hair they used to grow on top of their head come out of the orifices instead and let it fall out topside. Hilarious!

Very amusing! I just figure that things like gray hair is a small price to pay for being alive and kicking! 😉

Thanks Diana. I was having a little fun with getting older. But I agree, like you said, it’s a small price to pay for being alive and kicking.

Thanks John. There gray hairs aren’t so bad. But trimming the nose hairs, that’s a battle!

That’s an attention-grabbing first line! Funny where we can go with reading: I thought of an aging rock musician with your poem. The tattoos, T-shirt, spiritedness made me think of a rock musician. And one who can still jam! 🌞

I don’t mind the gray hairs. But those nose hairs! that’s a battle. Haha. I guess you can still jam when you get older.

Funny! I have to keep watch more on ear hairs than nose hairs. They can advance quickly!

Yep, those ear hairs can be crazy too!
