So much for the attire of ghosts:
A broken lantern
And words that cannot move the air.
Poetry places
What can’t be placed.
Especially if keen, then in the heart.
Furthermore, the singing crickets
Just outside these summer windows.
And for clarity’s sake: a motel
Pool in the moonlight.
Poetry practices
What can’t be practiced.
Without thought, into words.

i was just talking to this lady about ghosts. she just asked me kind of out of the blue. she said they probably live in the hospital basement with all those exposed pipes. I think ghosts are everywhere. So awesome to read a “motel poll in the moonlight” for “clarity’s sake.” Remember those keys for motels, so easy to steal.

I’m not much of a superstitious person, but ghosts as metaphors for our past. Yes, they are all over the place.

i’ve seen some weird shit like the faces of dead friends in the face of a current friends…..usually being really high taps me into it, but i believe it’s really him, sending me signals from another place that i have no idea about it and supposedly, they, these spirits or ghosts of people past are closest in the autumn season. i mean it makes sense for us because everything around us is dying, but like day of the dead in mexico is also in autumn but it must be warm there. i’m confused again. Thanks a lot Bob! You always challenge my mind.

I agree autumn conjures up the past. And there’s some magic in that. And maybe that space between worlds lessens in the fall.

That air and the breeze, at least for us in the north east, is autumn excellent…brandy and hunting weather. I’ve never been hunting, but I would like to try though it might be hard for me to kill an animal – make me feel cruel and plus it’s gotta be freezing just standing around all that time.
