Like crackers breaking in half

Harmonious as a leak
Legible as a cold draft
Atonal daffodils
Are allergic to nihilism
And gardens
Use pointless random parades as currency
Robins are the first proletarians of spring

how atonal leads to harmonious hits me like a cure for deafness! and that harmony as a leak…i looked up leak to make sure you meant the water leak and the vegetable leek. i forgot how to spell it right. Anyway, the definition is “accidental entry of fluid.”……i guess the dictionary is atheist. Ha!
Being allergic to nihilism is a scream, is a great song, one that lasts a while and hopefully longer.
Not only a great poem….i also learned some about atonal. I initially thought it meant deaf, but now think it means harmony-less…..so maybe like dissonance?

Thanks! I had fun writing this one. Just let it be strange. Maybe something like Looney Tunes…which my 11 year is watching right now. He’s really into it. Is Daffy Duck the best name of an animated character ever?

you know i never wondered what daffy meant so i looked it up and yes, what a great name. Eccentric Duck. yeh, he’s amazing and i’m glad you got your kids excited about Looney Tunes. I bet it’s great having you as a father.
