  1. what’s amazing to me is this reads like a sentence that travels at light speed….and the title is silence, a whooooooooooosh beginning with what feels like the beginning days of walking for the first time what a scary thrill that must have been and i guess we should try and always do that in as many ways as possible…for me that would be canoeing and reading books again. anyway, i kind of remember now pacing in the leaves, my head down and i have no idea what i was thinking or what was the fascination of kicking through leaves, but i loved it and what’s interesting is that you say pacing in August leaves..interesting because there are no leaves fallen in august, but they’re coming so it feels like a mental preparation and i’ve heard that people prepare for religious holidays a month in advance and also the month before the preparation month they are aware of it nearing…..and i think i wrote preparation many times here which tells me something.

    1. Thanks, Steve! Really like the idea of canoeing and reading books. I’d love to have a canoe. Seems like a perfect day, lay in the canoe and read a book. I felt the pacing in the leaves, was the wind in the leaves. And I was going to add the word wind, but didn’t seem like it could fit. But I am looking forward to walking in leaves. It’s been so hot, so I am looking forward to autumn, but not yet, still have some summer in me.

      1. the one problem with leaves and grass in general is them being prime spots for dog shit. when i think of all the time i spent in leaves as a kid, there must be one time when i rolled in some. yuk!
