2 Short Poems

Observed and Unobserved

Someone graffitied
The interference pattern from the double slit
Experiment on the brick wall behind the bus
Stop. Where would we be without earthworms?

Making it Work

What it lacked in finesse
It made up for in repairs

And though now it slants
“Only slightly” to the side

A rollicking wonderment
Tumbled into form

Like the misshapen poem
Whose aim is true

  1. love that ‘misshapen poem whose aim is true’ : would love to read one of these; would like even more to write one of these — but what would a ‘misshapen poem’ look like ?

    1. Great question John. I was thinking one that didn’t work out at the beginning, but sticking with it, in the end came together. Which could be a metaphor for people too?

  2. There’s such a daredevil leap in the last lines of the first poem, bam, right into the necessity of earthworms. Unpredictable right there. Excellent! And the second one, freaking inspiring like a spider on the side of a bathtub crawling up, but keeps falling to the bottom, but keeps crawling to the top or trying to and they have an advantage over us – spinning webs.
